Just as there is to everything else in life, there are costs and benefits to
advertising. Advertising plays a major role in our lives. Everywhere you turn
there is some form of advertising taking place. Companies spend outrageous
amounts to get the attention of the viewer and hold it long enough to increase
sales of there product. Advertising is a part of the marketing mix, under
promotion, and is a very important aspect in Marketing, Advertising is all
around us. It is in everything we do, whether it be looking up a number in the
local phone directory or taking a ride down an old road and noticing the
billboards along side of the road. Not a single day will go by without seeing
some form of advertisement.
